G'day! This is James Jack, your host for this evening. For those who aren't a close personal acquaintance, I'm from Sydney, Australia, and attend St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Lugarno. As you have probably already noticed, there is one thing above everything else that I think is really important. The mercy God has shown me by sending his one and only Son to die for me is absolutely amazing, and I reckon it's something that everyone needs to know about. It's a matter of life and death, really. I'm also known for having really great taste in music (Billy Joel, the Beatles, the Bee Gees, Simon and Garfunkel, ABBA, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, Don Mclean, etc), for my karaoke brilliance, and for having a true appreciation of British comedy, especially anything related to Monty Python. A big hello to anyone with any association with Brooms Head SUFM! And to anyone involved with Randwick Boys' ISCF as well! Hopefully, a Randwick Boys' ISCF page is coming soon. Check the links below. How could I forget anyone from Sydney Technical High School? Special greetings to the ISCF group there.

Take a look at Mark 3:17 (that's a verse in the Bible) to find out where the name "Boanerges" comes from. |
Does it sound a bit old-fashioned or boring if you hear someone say "I follow Jesus"? You might think that Christianity is about rules, a restriction of liberties - maybe even hypocrisy. It doesn't have to be!!! Being a Christian is all about life and freedom - not rules and restrictions. God tells us the best way to live, because he knows that the other ways lead to things like superficial relationships, hatred and suffering. But most importantly, being a Christian means being forgiven. It always amazes me that Jesus Christ would be willing to die for people who ignored him and spat on his face. But he did. Out of love, Jesus died for his enemies - because they'd die forever if he didn't. It's a great feeling of freedom to know that the God of the universe is your friend, and that we can be confident that we'll have eternal life! |

There's a whole heap of articles and talks that I've written over the past few years that I'd invite everyone to have a look at. There might be some poems and stories, too. Just click on one of those red thingies on the left, whatever tickles your fancy. I'll be adding to them as they become available. Feel free to make a comment about any of them, either by signing the guest book or by emailing me at the address listed at the bottom of the page. Below is also a list of some useful or interesting sites, particularly Christian ones: |
